Wise words from a retiring member of staff

April saw the retirement of Christine Dobson, Recruitment Assistant for the Wakefield office. Christine’s ten year career is a perfect example of how a good company culture can have a real impact on job satisfaction and enjoyment.

Christine explains, “Working at Jonathan Lee Recruitment has been a world apart from my previous roles, despite seeming very similar on the surface. Working in more traditional companies, I felt like a cog in a machine and was never asked my opinion or given the opportunity to contribute to the business in any way. During my time with Jonathan Lee Recruitment it has been completely different - my role has not only involved the day-to-day tasks but so much more besides.”

Christine worked closely with Ian Bryson, Managing Consultant, across a range of aerospace, general engineering and manufacturing clients. Her work with Airbus saw her travel as far as France, Germany and Spain to organise assessment centres and she also manned the Jonathan Lee stand at the Farnborough Air Show.

“Over the years I have built excellent relationships with clients and candidates alike, plus the events and assessment centres have enabled me to meet them face-to-face. I will miss it all a great deal.” concludes Christine.

Christine has been a real asset to the Wakefield team. She is highly professional and hard working, but also brought a sense of fun and enjoyment to the office. She was always good at quickly putting candidates at their ease which enabled them to perform to the best of their ability.” commented Ian Bryson.

Christine will be greatly missed by both her colleagues at Jonathan Lee Recruitment and all the people who have come to know her through her work.
